This is my Dad and this is a horrific way to find out he died...he also has another daughter, Syscine Silvey-Maciel with two Granddaughters, Sheena Ruben and Kiera Robertson along with a new Great Granddaughter, Hayden Robertson. I have a love and passion of horses I was able to share with my Dad. We spent hours talking about them, he was a great story teller and I often find myself singing the verses he used to sing and dance around when I was little. He had a ruff start but became an awesome man who I admired and respected dearly. I miss you all the time and I will see you again, Love you so much.

My heart goes out to the Silvey family for their tremendous loss. Sam was my step Grandpa but I only knew him as Grandpa Sam. He was so kind to me as a young boy, he would play games with me like cards and chess, he let me ride his horses all through the Nevada Desert and when him and my Grandma bought me the coolest “Concrete Jungle” skateboard, he let me ride all up and down his walk way on a ranch not exactly built for skateboarding lol.
Forever in my memory and through the new life of a planted tree, with love.

I am deeply saddened from the loss of Sam and my mom so suddenly. My heart goes out to all of Sams family and friends whom he loved dearly. He was an amazing guy full of passion and such a love of nature. Every animal in a ten mile radius would gravitate to Sam whether it was dogs, cats, horses, etc. The squirrels in his yard would crawl across his shoulders and hang out before leaping up onto the garage or trees. I loved his stories and being a horse lover we had that in common. Sam was a real cowboy and full of knowledge. What I will always cherish most is how he always had kind words to say to me at the end of our visits. I cherish the time we had and my memories of him will always make me smile until we see him again. I send much love and heartfelt thoughts to Sammy, Robin, Sandy, Shelly and all of your families from my family and me Joy Perry Parks (Edith-Silvey’s eldest daughter)
