Obituary of Jodine Renee Lowell

Please share a memory of Jodine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jodine Renee Lowell was ushered into the arms of Jesus on Friday, March 4, 2016. She had battled cancer for the past two years. "Jodi" was born in Lakefield, MN. May 12, 1960 to Harold and Lilace Keech. She was followed by sisters Lori Ann and Jerilyn Joy. The family settled in Brookings, Or. in 1969 where Jodi completed her early education, graduating fourth in her class at Brookings-Harbor High School in 1978. She enrolled at Northwest Nazarene College, Nampa, Id. and graduated Suma Cum Laude in 1982. She continued her education graduate assistant at University of Idaho where she received her Masters Degree in biology. It was at the University of Idaho where Jodi met her future husband, Richard Lowell. They were married June 9, 1984, at Brookings, Or. Their union was blessed with four daughters, Lindsey, Kristy, Merry, and Wendy. The oldest daughter, Lindsey was born with Rett Syndrome so Jodi became the primary care-giver for the nearly 30 years since Lindsey was born. In addition to this she home schooled the other three children for many years, and made a home for the family. A beautiful wife and mother in every way. She gave fully of herself to her family. Jodi enjoyed music all her life. She played clarinet in her high school band and sang in her college choir. She was always active in music at her church, most recently Twin Falls Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid reader and served as narrator for many years for the annual Thanksgiving presentation at Twin Falls Nazarene Church. Her joy in life was in service to God and others. She loved her family and friends and was loved and admired by those privileged to know her. She will be missed. Jodi was preceded in death by her Mother, Grandparents, and parent’s in-law. She is survived by her husband Rick, daughters Lindsey, Kristy, Merry and Wendy, along with her sisters Lori and Jeri, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and father. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Rosenau Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be held at Twin Falls Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, March 12, at 1-30 pm. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Jodi’s name to the Choir Advance Scholarship Fund. Condolences may be sent to (Lowell Family, 1220 Blake Street N. Twin Falls, ID 83301)
