Annabelle Lea Barnes 82 years old passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday April 13, 2016.
She was born in Buhl, Idaho on June 28, 1933 to Sherman and Lillie (Helsey) Climer. She spent her whole life in the Magic Valley and held a variety of jobs in the local community including working at her sister’s business Polly’s Cleaners and Amalgamated Sugar Company. She married Thomas Sidney Sapp on January 22, 1949. They were married for over 27 years until Thomas passed away on March 29, 1976. Together they had five children Randy Eugene, Rhonda Lea, Thomas Herbert, Peggy Jane, and Kenton Wayne.
On November 15, 1977 Annabelle married Roy L. Barnes from Kimberly, Idaho. Together they often went camping and fishing at CJ Strike Dam, although she did not like to eat the fish they caught. An avid seamstress, Annabelle excelled in making pajamas for her grandchildren every Christmas. She also loved to create aprons to give to her family, friends, and other special people in her life. She took great care in selecting the fabric and trimmings for each project, so that everyone received a special gift that reflected her love.
She is survived by her husband Roy L. Barnes, her children Rhonda (Kevin) Carter, Thomas (Cindy) Sapp, Peggy (Ray) Volle, and Kenton (Sue) Sapp, eleven devoted grandchildren, twenty loving great-grandchildren, one precious great-great-grandchild, and a caring nephew and niece.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Sidney Sapp, her son Randy Eugene Sapp, her parents, and five siblings. A viewing will be held Sunday April 17, 2016 from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Avenue East.
