Obituary of Joshua David Kelso
Please share a memory of Joshua to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joshua David Kelso, 38, of Eden, Idaho peacefully went to meet his heavenly father on Wednesday April 20, 2016.
Josh was born April 3, 1978 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Hal and Debbie Kelso. The second of three children Josh always knew the importance of family. From the youngest of age Josh's smile warmed the world and he displayed a love like no other. Josh attended Valley High School where he was known as “The Magic Buddha.” A friend to everyone Josh could always be found leading the crowd in a roaring cheer for his mighty vikings. After high school Josh attended the College of Southern Idaho where he was actively involved as a student ambassador. It was there Josh fell in love and soon began living his biggest dream, becoming a father. Whether on the sidelines cheering or trying his hand at coaching baseball and basketball, his son was his life.
Josh worked for many years at Sam Goody Music and Dell Computers, where he made countless friends and could always be found smiling. Josh became an ordained minister and performed the wedding ceremonies for many of his friends. There was never a dull moment when Josh was around. He was the life of the party even when there was no party. His laughter was infectious and he never met a stranger. An avid sports fan Josh could always be found cheering on the Chicago Bears and he never missed a Boise State Football game.He was a lover of music and movies, comic books, playing disk golf and all things Star Wars.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin and Euna Rife. He is survived by his son Jayden, his father and mother, Hal and Debbie Kelso, his sister Annella Kelso, his brother Ryan (Ondrea) Kelso, and his grandparents Leonard and Eunice Kelso; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A believer in Christ, Joshua had long-standing relationship with his heavenly father. He was an amazing son, father, brother, uncle and friend. Josh truly touched the lives of all he met, and will be missed by all who knew him.
