Laveta was a wonderful mother-in-law who prayed for me and my family since Valerie and I were married. She was a giving and caring person who made a positive impact and impression wherever she went and could be counted upon to be upbeat and supportive. She loved Jesus and that love was evident as she interacted with her family, friends, students and the larger community in various capacities throughout the years. I will miss her beautiful smile and gentle manner, but I know she is rejoicing in heaven and free from the physical constraints of this world. Thank you Laveta – you have left a great legacy for us.

Mrs Younger was my counselor at TFHS 1986-1988. As a counterpart to my Dad at CSI, I often got the feeling that their professional relationship was well founded in mutual respect and integrity. That was who she was anyway. Her kindness and warmth of spirit always permeated the interactions we had. She always thought to ask about my family. The smiles we shared felt like we knew without needing to speak. That moment was a little bit brighter and would positively impact the moments to come, even after we finished our conversations. May Yahweh bless you all richly.

Laveta was my high school counselor and also my friend. I would often stop by her office to say hi and she always had a smile for me and something encouraging to say. She was the Master of Ceremonies for my senior recital. That always meant a great deal to me. She was an amazing woman and I am blessed to have known her.
May God be especially near to the family and give you strength during this time. God bless you.

Laveta was such a lovely lady and great counselor. I was able to work with her during her tenure at Twin Falls High. She was always gracious and made you feel good when she commented on things students had said about me. She was a joy to be around and a tremendous asset for the high school. She was missed after retirement. I would run into her on occasion in the community and always enjoyed catching up with her. She will be missed! Heaven has gained another angel. Blessings to Phil & family.
