Mabel was a design client who became a friend. Her poise, taste and consideration for others was impressive. She entertained beautifully-anticipating every guest's needs. She always surprised me with her wit, style and humor. Her determination was evident in an extended convalescence from a foot injury. When others may have given up, she worked through the pain and inconvenience to triumph. One of the graces in her passing was that she was enjoying an active life again. I will miss you, Mabel.

To Mabel, You were not only my friend but a real mom to me when I needed it the most. I will miss you and our talks, emails, and your birthday cards that you sent me. You were so beautiful inside and out. You were and will always be a light in my life. May you no longer be in pain as you are now with our loving Father and Gordon. I love you Mabel always. Karen

Gordon and Brett, I am heartbroken to hear about the passing of your mom. I loved her with all my heart. She was my friend and my family. She treated me like a daughter. She was the bright light in a world that could really use one. Thank you both for sharing her with me. She loved you both so much. She would talk to me about both of you all the time.
