I met Rob at my nephew Emmett Paul's wedding in Albuquerque, NM. I was friends with him as well on FB and spoke to him on the phone one time when I was coming home from Portland, OR in early Sept and was looking for a place to crash for the night. Rob stayed true to his children but told me he would have allowed me to crash if times were different. I extend my condolences to his family, especially his brother Mike.
