Obituary of Ernest Froerer Zinie

Ernest Froerer Zinie, 83, of Jerome, Idaho was born on February 5, 1934 to George Zinie and Anna Froerer. In 1945 the family moved to Vale, Oregon to dairy farm. Ernest graduated from Vale High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1956-1958. Ernest attended the San Francisco College of Mortuary Sciences and practiced as a mortician in Provo, Utah for many years. In 1965 he returned to Vale to care for his parents. In 1996 he moved to Jerome, Idaho where he met Julia Powell. They married on November 5, 2005. Together they served 4 years in the LDS Idaho Boise Mission. Ernest passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and one brother, George Jr. He is survived by his wife Julia, of Jerome, Idaho, and his sister, Beth Ann Barnes of Ojai, California. He is also survived by daughter Selena (Bob) Bordewyk, two sons, Bill (Cathy) Powell, Tom (Michelle) Powell, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the 10th Ward LDS Chapel, 825 East Avenue B., Jerome, Idaho with family greeting friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at the Jerome Cemetery. Family and friends are encouraged to share their memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com
