Obituary of Myrtle Orbe
Please share a memory of Myrtle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Myrtle Orbe passed away April 13, 2017 at Bridgeview Estates in Twin Falls, Id. Born Feb. 20, 1925 to Frank and Gladys Lee, she spent her younger years in the Lamoille/Elko area. Myrtle married Domingo Orbe on Oct. 12, 1940 and had two children while living on the family ranch in Jiggs, Nv. After moving to Elko for several years, they bought a ranch in Elburz, Nv where they lived until the early 70's finally moving to Twin Falls, Id.
Despite the fact that she knew hard work and health problems in her lifetime, she found joy in the "little things" of life. She enjoyed visits from relatives and friends, cooking, working in the yard/garden, riding her horse, playing bridge and dancing to country music. Most of all she loved being her husband's companion/best friend.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Rhoda; grandsons, Shawn Anderson (Christine), Rockne Shannon Anderson (Tammy) and Chad Orbe (Christina); sister-in-law, Jane Lee; eight great grandchildren and several nieces/nephews.
Services and interment are scheduled Apr. 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Burns Memorial Garden. Donations in Myrtle's memory may be made to Northeastern Nevada Museum, 1515 Idaho St., Elko, Nv 89801.
