Obituary of Glen Hopwood

Glen Delbert Hopwood also known as "Spring Board" 74 years of age residing in Twin Falls, Idaho passed away peacefully April 29, 2017 at his home of natural causes.
Glen was born March 19, 1943 in Twin Falls, to Glen Cecil Hopwood and Margaret Marie Hopwood.
He graduated from Twin Falls High school in 1961. When he received his draft papers in 1967 he joined the Navy, saying he could use his skills and best serve his country as a Seabee. He was stationed in DaNang, Vietnam. He was an exceptional mechanic and it has been said on numerous occasions that he could take a car apart and put it back together better than the original. Glen Loved fixing up Race cars as much as he loved racing them at Firebird and at the Gooding track.
Glen is survived by his sister Louise (Travis) Cox of Spokane, WA. Children Lacey (Kevin) Askew, Jody (Teena) Hopwood, Jenny (Eddy) Holliday, Bryan (Daphne) Hopwood and Carrie (Josh) Wright.
6 Grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren. Numerous cousins, along with lots of friends including Orlan Stearns and John Holloway.
He was preceded in death by his parents Glen C. Hopwood and Margaret (Marie) Hopwood, his buddies Lew Holloway and Gary Nelson.
A Gathering of friends and family will be at Rosenau Funeral Home & Crematory Saturday May 13th from 1-3pm with Military honors beginning at 1.
We will all remember the…eatin' grin and the sparkle in those deep blue eyes.
