Margaret June Dahlquist Jones, 90, of Kimberly, Idaho, passed away August 16, 2017 at Desert Rose Assisted Living home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Margaret was the daughter of O. Henry and Effie Mae Beer Dahlquist of Twin Falls. After graduation from Twin Falls High School in 1945, she worked at Twin Falls Floral. In 1947, she married Ronald H. Jones. They had four children, David, Pricilla (PJ or Cis) Jennifer, and Alice (Tink). After her marriage to Ron, she continued her love of flowers and opened her own floral business in her home in Kimberly. After buying their own building, in Kimberly, they moved her floral shop, and added selling wood burning stoves and horse trailers, naming their shop "The Hitchin Post". She had a great love for her children and grandchildren, giving them much help and guidance, including assisting Tink in her horse riding endeavors. Among the many joys in life, were spending time in the mountains, flowers, birds and sea shells. Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Priscilla (PJ or Cis) Jennifer and Alice (Tink). She is survived by eight (8) grandchildren, eighteen (18) great-grandchildren, and on (1) great great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Ed (Janet) Dahlquist, Idaho Falls, Idaho and sisters Joan Ingram of Kimberly, Idaho, and Virginia (Ginger) Loder of California. Also, two special people in her life, Lysa Lempke and Carl Niedrich. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Ron, son David, and granddaughter Roni Parrott. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park on Tuesday, August 29th. Friends are invited to a viewing at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls on Monday evening August 28th, from 6-8 PM. The family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, OKC, OK 73123, American Diabetes Assoc. 2451 Crystal Dr, Arlington, VA, and the Macular Degeneration Research Assoc. 5969 Cattleridge Blvd Ste 100, Sarasota, FL, 34232, or to their charity.
