This is when he got a job with Idaho Frozen Foods that led to 43 years with the same company finally retiring as the Supervisor of Engineering. He was married to Janice in 1958 in Twin Falls and they enjoyed 59 years together raising their family and traveling and seeing the world. Verne was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served on the Trustees board for many years. He also belonged to the Twin Falls, Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, and was heavily involved in the construction of the Centennial park and Pavilion. Verne enjoyed camping, fishing, golf and had a hole in one at Candleridge golf course. Verne was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife Janice; son Michael (Debbie) Snodgrass and daughter Theresa Guthrie and her two sons James and Jefferson Guthrie. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 28th at Rosenau Funeral Home.
