Obituary of Carol Jean Pestotnik

Carol Jean Pestotnik passed away on November 9, 2017 at her home with her family. She was born on January 27, 1942 in Luther, Iowa to parents V.C. and Olive "Mae" Brundage. She graduated from United Community High School in 1960 and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1964. She married her husband Tom in June of 1964. She taught 9th grade English in Alexandria, VA and was a substitute teacher in Aurora, MN. She also worked as a military entrance test administrator for several years in Redding, CA and in Twin Falls. She also worked several years as a GED test administrator at CSI. She is survived by her husband Tom and two boys Scott (Charlene) of Aliso Viejo, CA and Todd of Henderson, NV; and grandchildren Kevin, Jenna and Logan. Carol was one of seven children and is survived by 5 sisters and one brother. Carol enjoyed downhill skiing for many years and loved golfing. She was best known for her friendly smile. She also enjoyed playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Twin Falls. The family requests that donations be made in Carol's name to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
