I want to express my condolences to Christine and the family. I had the pleasure of knowing Bob over the past 10 years for the energetic and compassionate man he was. I first met Bob through MVRS where we worked mutually on helping people with disabilities to find and maintain employment. After he left MVRS we stayed in touch and he always kept me posted on what he was doing with Rising Stars and with Kiwanis. Probably the memory that was most significant to me recently was Bob's volunteer work with Hospice Visions. Last year my father was winding down his last months and weeks of life he was in an assisted living facility. Bob came in as a fellow Navy veteran several times to see my father and listened and share stories about Navy life and adventure. Bob's visits always brightened my father's days and he would talk about it for days after. They would talk about my father's time aboard the USS New Jersey, which of course was named after Bob's home state, and Bob always said he wished that he could have been aboard that ship.
Bob was always so full of positive energy, optimism for life, and had great compassion for others who experienced challenges. Job well done sailor. Time to stand down.

Bob was always a bright spot at Rise Stars where he has assisted me in my riding for nearly 9 years! His smile and kindness will be greatly missed. Bob and I practiced a weekly routine for mounting and dismounting. No one could do it quite like him! (and he let everyone know it) Surely that dependence upon his upbeat attitude made my horseback experience richer.

Dear Bob Ryndbrand family:
I am so sorry for your loss of Bob. He was such a joy to be around especially for all of us who are Kiwanians. His smile and twinkle in his eye will be missed at our noon luncheons. He could always be counted on to bring a mirthful remark during a meeting and provide a timely comment that lightened the event. We will surely miss him. I remember his phone call to find out information about Kiwanis before he moved from California. (I was club President that year). My thought was can a Californian with a New Jersey accent be comfortable in our club. Well, he certainly was, and we were all the better for it. He added so much to my life and to our community. We will miss him and remember him.
