Obituary of Dusty Ray Addey
Dusty Ray Addey, 58, of Jerome, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, surrounded by his devoted family.
Dusty was born Jan. 14, 1961, in Montana and was the oldest son of Raymond Addey and Sharon Sherman. Dusty has joined both of his parents, father and mother in-law, his nephew, Justin, and best friend Doug Blevins. As a young boy, Dusty and his family moved to Jerome where he grew up and attended school. He continued to live in Jerome where he raised his family.
Dusty graduated from Jerome high school and after graduation went to play tennis at ISU. He later married Christy Wageman in 1982 and together they had Megan McClurg (Mike) and Andrew Addey (Hillary). He was blessed to have 4 wonderful grandbabies Adison and Maddox McClurg and fur grandbabies Trigger and Zeke Addey. Dusty loved the great outdoors and was known for his many camping talents. He loved 4 wheeling with his wife and would do a little fly fishing while in the Mountains. In his earlier years Dusty worked for Moore Business Forms. When the company closed, he went to work for Giltner Incorporated where he stayed for 25 years. He worked as the safety director and was a huge asset to the company. He loved his Giltner Family. He leaves behind his wife, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, a sister Shawn Short, a brother Rusty Addey and in-laws Kim Fultz (Ken), Chris Wageman (Shawna), and Laurie Wageman, along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls, ID followed by a luncheon. In place of flowers Dusty felt it was exceptionally important to set up a college fund for his grandchildren and future grandchildren. We would like to thank all the Staff at Mountain State Tumor Institute (MISTI) for all your wonderful care during Dusty’s treatments. He grew very fond of all of you. A special thank you to his physician for the past 35 years, Dr. Irwin and Nurse Lori Buttars for all your support during the past year. Thank you to Visions Home Health and Hospice for helping us bring him home and care for him during his final days.
