I was a new physician in Twin Falls in 2015 and Larry was one of my first partners in practice. He was always happy to review a patient with me, made me feel welcome, and showed me every day how important caring for patients was to him.
Larry was a genuinely kind person and we all know how much he loved Harleys.
I will miss Larry but will always carry with me the way I saw him treat others, because that was a true testament to the person he was.

No matter how busy Larry was at work, he always had time for a joke or two. Wet Willies, Looking in your ear and saying he could see the light on the other side, and saying he saw fingerprints in your nose as he gave an exam are only the tip of the iceberg for his sense of humor. And he would jokingly say "Here comes trouble" when my wife would come in for a check up. Very professional when he needed to be.....but sensitive, caring, and good listening friend, like a brother to us too. We already miss you Larry!! - We Love You - from Dan and Margaret MacLerran

Larry was my husband's doctor in recent years. I generally go to Butch's doctor visits with him to help remember the questions to ask and be another pair of ears to hear the advise. Visits to Larry's office were the ones I enjoyed most. He was always very thorough, spoke with and to us directly, and was funny and human and real. I will miss those visits. - Judy Heatwole

Larry there are no words to express how I feel about your not being here anymore. We had a long journey as employees/employer then to Dr/patient then to friends. You have played a big part in my life for 33 years. You were taken from us way to young. Thank you for everything and literally saving my life numerous times. I will miss you my friend. Larry, you were a shining star in so many lives. Our family was blessed with you since the 1990's when my SIL was your nurse. You cared for all of us and always made us laugh hysterically. You were truly one-of-a-kind! You will be missed by every single person who you touched their lives. I'm thankful I am one of those! R.I.P. knowing you made a difference in this world.

I loved working with Dr. Martens at TFC&H and working in the same building at the Renaissance. He always knew how to make someone smile, never made work feel like work, and always had time to listen. His jokes and laughter were contagious everyday. RIP Dr. Martens! Love and Miss you!

Dr. Martens was my doctor when 30+ years ago when I was in high school. He saw me regularly as I had endometriosis. He was kind, funny, understanding and a damn good doctor. He saw me mostly under my worst, but always made me feel better. Happy trails, thank you for being in my life when I needed you most.

It was always a fun part of my day to stop in his office at the end of our work day. He was hilarious and kindhearted! Every time I was ready to leave I’d say see you tomorrow and he’d shake his cup and say don’t forget to contribute to the Larry’s Harley fund!! you’ll be missed my friend and I thank you for all the great memories. I had the great joy of seeing Erica grow up and always enjoyed her being around, such an amazing family! I love and miss you already. Rest and sleep in peace.

I’ve always said that Dr. Martens gave me my life back when he suspected that I had fibromyalgia back in the early 90’s. I was in his office at the twin falls clinic pretty regularly complaining of feeling terrible and unable to carry on daily activities he ran all kinds of tests and everything came back normal. One day I was back at his office again and he said “you know I think you might have fibromyalgia, please remember this was a time when most Dr’s didn’t believe in this and there was very little known about it. He said I’ll be right back he came back and said Dr Pica, who was across the hall from him would see me now and I was diagnosed that day and treated. He was such a kind hearted Dr. And I loved how he would listen so intently to you. I was so sad when he said he was cutting back hours and retiring soon. He will be missed so very much. My sympathies to his family. He was the best as you all know. Rest In Peace Dr. Martens

We have live doctor Martens for a very long time. He had been my family’s doctor over the years. We moved away to Oregon but he would ask my family about us. I will never forget one of my visits when I had a sinus infection. He looked in my nose and said....hmmm..fingerprints. Another time he and Mark were talking about their remotes to their devices. Dr. Martens said he had a keyboard for his remotes. He was such a great caring man. We are praying for peace and comfort for all his friends and family. Until we meet again Dr. Martens. <3 Mark and Susie Brown

I worked for Dr Martens at TFC&H as a nurse and was also a patient of his. When I was going through some difficult things he would sit down next to me and we would talk often ending the talk in robust laughter. He knew the value of loyalty and would go to bat for the nursing staff. He impacted people’s lives and will be missed. RIP Dr Martens-Heather Jones

Larry was a dear friend. He was there 17 years ago when I walked into my first AA meeting. Over the years, we spoke often, laughed, cried, and always shared photos of our family. He is an amazing man who had a love for life, people and his family. It is hard to believe he is gone. He is loved by many. I will miss him.

One of the most caring person I have ever met, always smiling and always had time to listen and answer your questions! He was my Doctor for over 30 years and in 2016 he diagnosed my cancer, sent me to specialist and answered my questions! When I had a meltdown he got me through it! So sad when I got his letter of resignation! Very few could ever take his place! My prayers for his family and the nurses who worked for him! He is greatly missed and will always be remembered as a great man! Rest In Peace and ride that motorcycle up above , prayers to all of you!
