Obituary of Leonard Williams Sr.
Please share a memory of Leonard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leonard Gene Williams, Sr., 69, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center, on August 1, 2020 due to complications from the Covid-19 virus.
Leonard was born on December 10,1950, in Fresno, California to Arthur and Betty Williams.
He graduated from Kerman High School in Kerman, California. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann John, and loved her every day for the last 50 years. He immediately began his career as an electrician and plumber. Leonard was a jack-of-all-trades. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix, once he put his mind to it.
Leonard loved fishing. Any chance he could get to go out on his boat with his wife, his sons, grandkids or friends, he jumped at the opportunity. Leonard was a family man. He cherished his wife, he loved his sons and adored his grandkids and great granddaughters.
Leonard was a jokester. He loved to tease and joke with anyone he could. The more he teased you, the more he cared for you. He never met a stranger. When he would meet someone in a store or public place, he would go out of his way to say something to them, usually a joke or a dig of some kind. He was proud to be an American! He served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Coral Sea. He would go out of his way to thank any service member for their sacrifice and service.
Leonard was a Christian. He was a faithful member of Bethel Temple Apostolic Church where he was an usher. He took his position seriously, but it also gave him an excellent opportunity to meet, tease and joke with people as they came into the sanctuary.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Williams, sons: Leonard(Leo) Williams, Jr.(Kelly), Frank Williams, grandsons: Austin Williams(Dani), Colby Williams, Hunter Williams, granddaughter: Kaylie Williams and great granddaughters: Peyton Stevenson and Tenley Williams. Two nieces: Laura Wiltse(Rick) and Christine Gorman(Darrell), and many other long-distance, but very loved family members.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park on August 5th, 2020 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
The family wishes to thank St. Lukes Medical Center and the incredible doctors and nurses that took care of our loved one.
We would also like to thank Pastor John Collins, Jr., his wife, Andrea, and all the members of Bethel Temple Apostolic Church for their outpouring of love, food, support, and especially their prayers.
