Obituary of Tonette Rosenau

Please share a memory of Tonette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tonette Crandall Rosenau passed away September 22, 2020 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley in Twin Falls, Idaho. Tonette had fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last three years. She had been 59 years old for exactly one week at the time of her death . Tonette was born September 15, 1961 in Twin Falls, Idaho. From the minute she was born she was the apple of everyone’s eye. She was a beautiful baby and that beauty stayed with her all of her life. She was truly beautiful inside and out. Tonette attended schools in Twin Falls graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1979. All through her childhood she was involved in dance, sports and cheerleading. She remained best friends with all of the kids that she grew up with and went to school with. Her husband Kurt has lots of pictures and videos of the good times they had and Tonette is normally front and center with her gorgeous smile!! Her Mother and Father, Robert and Shirlene Crandall were extremely proud of her. After high school, Tonette joined the Air Force and was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base and an Airman First Class at Lackland Air Force Base in Colorado as a photo specialist. She served her country proudly and with honor! Tonette came back to Twin Falls for her 20 year high school reunion in 1999 and this is where she and Kurt Rosenau got re-acquainted and thus began their love story. They spent several years together living in California and Montana. Tonette was the love of Kurt’s life and Kurt was the love of Tonette’s life….except for John Wayne. She really loved John Wayne!! Tonette moved back to Twin Falls in 2010 to care for her Mother who was suffering from Alzheimer’s. Kurt followed a few months later and they spent 5 years giving Tonette’s Mother the most loving and tender care. Tonette hardly ever left her Mother’s side and that’s when our Angel earned her wings. We are all eternally grateful for the care that was given to Shirlene. Kurt finally proposed to Tonette and he did it in style with a surprise vacation to Maui with his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Kim. It was the night of the Luau with tons of people in attendance…Tonette said she was so embarrassed because they had a spotlight on her! Way to get her to say “yes” Kurt! Kurt and Tonette were married in 2017 and they bought Tonette’s dream farmhouse in 2017 in Jerome, Idaho. At the time of her death Tonette was employed by St. Luke’s Magic Valley Hospital as a CMA. A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses who took such good care of Tonette during her illness. Tonette is survived by her husband Kurt Rosenau of Jerome, daughter Amber Rochelle Rosenau, granddaughter Teagen, grandson Emmett, Mother Shirlene Crandall, sister Karen Obenchain of Boise, brother Tom (Bev) Boyd of Boise, brother Josh Crandall of Kimberly, lots of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and her much loved dog Russell. To know Tonette was to love her. There will be a private family service at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls on Saturday October 3, 2020 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
