Obituary of Bert Lee Rackham

Bert Lee Rackham, 74 of Twin Falls passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home. Bert was born May 9, 1938 in Thornton, ID to Ezra and Marie Clements Rackham. His family moved to Lorenzo, ID where he attended elementary school. They later moved to Rigby, ID where he graduated from high school in May of 1958. He married Donalyn Briggs on April 10, 1959. They had 4 children; Laurie, Blain, Sheryl and Thomas. Bert and Donalyn lived in Idaho Falls, ID, Seattle, WA and finally settling in Twin Falls, ID. Bert worked a variety of jobs with Boeing aircraft and custodial positions. He was medically retired at age 47. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bert volunteered in Boy Scouts and helped coach boy’s basketball teams. Bert is survived by his wife Donalyn, children Laure (Jim) Todd, Blaine (Yvonne) Rackham, Sheryl (Glenn) McCullough; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brothers Milton (Carol)Rackham of Michigan, James (Kathy) Rackham of Moses Lake, WA, LeRoy Rackham of Ririe, Albert Rackham of Rigby and a sister Myrtle (Bob) Williams of St Anthony, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, son Thomas, a granddaughter Shawna and a grandson Shane. A viewing for Bert will be held on Friday, March 29 from 6-8pm at Rosenau Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Harrison LDS Church, 667 Harrison St on Saturday, March 30 at 11:00am.
