Obituary of Patty Lou Young

Patty (Pat) Lou Young, 90, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her home. She was born March 5,1931 to Wavern and Hattie VanSickle in Aston Idaho, the tenth of twelve children. She attended school there and graduated from North Fremont High School in 1950. She married Buster L. Young on April 3, 1951 at the home of his parents in Twin Grooves while he was home on leave from the Army. A few months later he was shipped to Europe and Pat moved to Ogden Utah where their first child, Linda was born. On his release the family moved to St. Anthony where the family grew to eight children. The family moved to the Wood River valley for a short time then settled in Kimberly where they remained until their passing. Pat shared many adventures with Bus - from moving with constructions jobs including to Alaska, to moving RV trailers around the USA. Both made lifetime friends where ever they went. Pat is survived by children: Linda (Brent) Morrill, Hansen; daughter-in-law Judy (Dick) Young, Kimberly; Dan (Jackie) Young in St. Anthony; Tug Young, Idaho Falls; Hattie (Kevin) Homan, Boise; Elizabeth (Vernon) Exner, Meridian; Scott (Nancy) Young, Gooding; Jodie Exner, Shoshone. Eighteen grandchildren, Thirty-three great grandkids and one great-great grandson; brother-in-law Faye Young, Utah; Sister Peggy Young, St. Anthony; several step-grandkids, and many nieces and nephews. She preceded in death by husband Bus and son Richard (Dick); granddaughter Callie; son-in-law Greg Exner; daughter-in-law Debbie Young; her parents; five brothers and five sisters; In-laws Les and Irene Young; brother-in-law Bob Young, sister-in law Dorothy Young. The family would like to thank Addis Heath Care (Judy and Savanna) and Visions Hospice for their excellent care. Service will be held on April 24, 2021 at 1:00 at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E in Twin Falls. A private family interment will be at a later date.
