I remember him being terrified to let me cut his hair for the first time. Once I did he was my most consistent client throughout beauty school and didn’t want any one else to cut it for him. After graduating I moved away and his hair would get so long by the time I would come back to visit. I remember being surprised by how much my sweet baby brother grew up in the short time I was gone. He went from being an annoying younger brother in my eyes to someone I very highly respected. He had become so humble and put his heart into so much. He was such a vibrant loving person. I will miss him forever everyday.

My heart breaks for the Stocks family and friends. My heart breaks for Justus, particularly so with some understanding of the struggle.
As a neighbor, I saw Justus most days. I watched him grow from a boy to a handsome young man. He maintained his grace throughout. Sweet, sincere, respectful, gentle, and always there to help...he was the type of gentleman you hope your daughter brings home. He was the type of son I'd be proud to call my own.
Justus was my daughter's first crush...the one to knock on our door to ask if there was anything he could help with. Justus was the one who dug the grave for my daughter's deceased cat...the one to help me shovel snow from the neighbors drive. I loved his compassion... towards others, towards animals. The memories are many and nothing but positive.
I loved it when Justus would stop to visit. Beyond that, we shared waves most days. It was its own relationship, always putting a smile on my face...reminding me of his friendly demeanor. I knew he'd be a perfect fit to help build my house. Without hesitation, he accepted. I was honored....not just to have his helpful hand but to be in the presence of someone so likeable. And it wasn't what he might learn from me but what I could learn from him. It was much. If only there were more people like Justus in this world...
Phillip and Ericka - I'm so glad you chose to live where you are... to have had that chance to get to know Justus. You did a fantastic job with him! He touched many. And he certainly made an impression on me that will not be forgotten....a quality in which words can not convey. Thank you, Justus. I will miss you. And thank you, the Stocks family. With heartfelt love to you all!

I was very fortunate to have Justus in my PE classes at Canyon Ridge. I can honestly say, he was a hard worker and a good athlete, who motivated others to do their best in class. Justus, you made others better by being around them and I looked forward to having you in class every single day. I know that you made a difference in the lives of others, you certainly did mine. Thank you again for the kind gift basket that you gave after your senior year. I won't ever forget that, or you. You were a fine young man Justus, I'm going to miss you pal.
