Matt was a very dear friend all through school. My parents would always comment about the friends who were always there to lift me up when I was down, and Matt would be one of those friends that would give true and sincere advice. And for all of our other classmates, they would probably say the same thing, for he was always there for everyone. I'm so sorry Matt is gone, he will be greatly missed by his friends from Shelley Idaho. Matt, you were an awesome guy, a true gentleman. I remember when we (Jerry, Rick, and I would go hang out at the treehouse, or in the hayfields, and when we worked the potato combines together. Those were the days. We will miss you.

I'm so sorry for this tremendous loss! Matt was such a character! I got to know him when I worked at the Rexburg Livestock Auction. He was always playing jokes on people and loved to make us laugh! One day, he handed me a ticket through the window and told me he just bought 2 goats for my kids! I almost died! They were good pets though and I eventually bought my daughters first horse from him. He was a great horse and Matt knew he would be good for her. (She was only 7) Matt loved his family so much! I remember how heartbroken he was at the loss of his dad:( Matt will be missed sorely.
