Jimmie Dale Turner “Jim” 84 of Murtaugh, ID passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Twin Falls, Idaho where he was also born on January 21, 1937 to Roy & Aldena Turner. Jim graduated from Valley High School, class of 1955, he served his country with for 8 years with the Idaho National Guard,116th Armed Cavalry Unit. Early in Jim's life he fell in love with and married Leona Campbell. Jim’s career as a trucking supervisor let them enjoy life living in Colorado, Texas and then making Idaho their home. During his life Jim was a deputy sheriff and a safety supervisor for Walmart before retiring. Jim was part of the county search and rescue team, enjoyed flying as he was a pilot all of his life, enthusiastic motorcyclist, and loved his country. Survived by his wife of 66 years Leona of Murtaugh. His children Mick (Kelli) Turner of Twin Falls, ID, Mark (Jen) Turner of Murtaugh, ID, Kerrie Sartor of Clinton, UT., Monty Turner & Amy Conghila of Pocatello, ID., sister Patricia J. Gergens of Twin Falls, and a sister-in-law Fran Kittridge of Boise, ID, and his Uncle Leo Turner of Mountain Home, ID. (21) grandchildren and spouses, (17) great grandchildren, and expecting (2) more great grandchildren here shortly. Jim had numerous other family and friends that he loved and was blessed to have them in his and Leona life. He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Stacy Turner, a grandson Scott Burrup, sister-in-law Joan Stokesberry, three brothers-in-laws, and several beloved Aunts and Uncles. ~ Jim would say “good-bye”, “We had fun”. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the care of Rosenau Funeral Home and Crematory, 2826 Addison Ave. East, Twin Falls, Idaho.
