A few more prominent memories....
I rarely saw Dave without his cowboy hat on, unless he was in the house or it was super cold outside.
He was always wanting to dance to some ole' cowboy song. And he knew what he was doing.
Baling twine could fix almost anything.
Flat tires were a normal occurrence.
Several snowmobile trips with the ole' yellow Kotax. He would grin ear to ear on that thing.
One of my first trips to the desert to work cows, he informed me..."see that cow right there; she'd just as soon kill you as look at you". After only 5 minutes, I knew he was telling the truth.
He was truly a REAL cowboy in every aspect of the word.
He loved teaching you how to do new things. He had many skills. And most of my lessons started with Dave saying..."hey did you know..."

Growing up in Castleford, I knew all the Kinyons The news of David's passing saddens me. What you say about him in the obit, is what he surely was. A storyteller for sure. I met him once at Bruneau Sand Dunes and he stopped long enough to tell a story or two. And he was a great cowboy because he learned from one of the best, Denver, his dad. Now he will join Shirley. My deepest sympathy. Erlene Hudson Ford

Dave always had a wild sometimes questionable story to tell, but they were great to listen to.
I remember hunting for antelope with him on the desert on numerous occasions, and as he was driving like a maniac chasing them down; he would be hollering "if there ain't no lead a flying, there ain't no meat a dying!"
Another fond memory was a fishing trip to Salmon Dam that didn't go as planned. Ended up dark, windy with white caps, and a long ways from the dock. Christy and Louann were in their boat, and Dave, John, and I were in Dave's little aluminum boat.....needless to say Dave couldn't see, John couldn't swim...and somehow I became pocahontas in the bow of the boat with a flashlight yelling at Dave which way to steer. That meant me yelling..."your other left Dave" over and over.
Many canoe trips up balanced rock creek, Dave always rocking the conoe and Shirley telling him to stop!
Many trips to the desert to work cows.
Lots of smoking meat and making jerky. Dave always seemed to be either chewing on some jerky or a toothpick.
Never a dull moment around Dave. I'm sure he's entertaining the angels now. He will be missed.
