Obituary of Shana Munroe

Shana was born at Mountain Home Air Force base to Stanley and Della Passey. Eventually the family moved to Boise where she married Darin Barnes and had a daughter, Baily and a son, Hayden. After her divorce from Darin, Shana married Steve Munroe and was later divorced. Shana added to her education and became an EMT and later went to work for Idaho Health and Welfare’s EMS State Communications where she worked as a dispatcher and was later promoted to the position of EMS Communications Manager. While working for State Comm she enrolled in and graduated from the State of Idaho Public Manager course. Upon graduation Shana was honored at the State Capital by then Governor Dirk Kempthorne for her accomplishment. Shana was diagnosed with Lupus and fought that battle until the doctors were able to put it into remission. Shana was later diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. In 2012 Shana had another daughter, Graycee Erickson. Shana passed away due to complications associated with Huntington’s. Shana was preceded in death by her Mother and is survived by her Father and her three children Baily, Hayden and Graycee.
