I had the luck of running into Jeff Martin around '84, looking to get some free cabinets for my showroom that we were working on my house on 2nd Ave N on our window covering business. But looking for work too, somehow I ended up working there. I learned to be a cabinet designer and salesman... one of the funniest things I remember was asking Jeff to explain the detail of the cabinets while I video it. (long before Youtube) All setup and Jeff in place standing behind a cabinet... I start rolling,,, he drops behind the cabinet and comes up with his famous look of his hands pulling back the corner of his mouth and his eyelids while all you can see is the whites of his eyes....I never laughed so hard and long in my life... Needless to say, I never got the video lesson done.... I had to just take notes. Things I remember about working there... Grey Ford truck, spitballs coming at me, Blizzards, cabinet software design on computers, JoEllen, Judy Steinberg, a lot of laughing,
