Obituary of Esther J. Loman

Esther Joanne Loman, 89, went peacefully to her eternal home in heaven January 27, 2022, with family by her side. Esther was born August 21, 1932, to Peter and Cora (Zeijlemaker) Bothof in Pipestone, Minnesota. When she was young, her parents moved west to Southern California where she finished school in Bellflower and helped work on the family farm. Esther married Henry (Hank) Loman on her 18th birthday and they operated a dairy farm in Artesia, California. In Early 1960’s, they moved to San Jose, California, where they continued dairying and ran a milk processing plant. Esther helped work in their drive-thru cash and carry business. In 1976, Hank and Esther moved with their family to Buhl, Idaho, and operated a small dairy farm. After Hank’s passing in 1985, Esther continued visiting and vacationing with many of their family and friends. Esther was a resident of Grace Assisted Living for seven years after suffering a stroke; she was always happy when someone came to visit her. She also enjoyed going with her family to their homes, to church, and dining out. We enjoyed those times together and she will be greatly missed. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Loman; daughter, Carolyn Walker; brother, John Bothof; sister-in-law, Winnie Bothof; brother-in-law, Ed Southfield. She is survived by her brother, Bill (Jeri) Bothof, Meridian; sister Carol Southfield, Twin Falls; children: Henry Loman, Twin Falls; Ken (Yvonne) Loman, Buhl; Lori (Art) Bergsma, Paul (Shana Hilt) Loman, Twin Falls; son-in-law, Rudy Walker, Goodyear, AZ; 11 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren who she loved dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Twin Falls, Reformed Church Chapel on Friday, February 4, at 11 AM. Services under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls. The family would like to say a special thanks to Grace Assisted Living Center and staff for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building fund at TFRC.
