Obituary of Antonio Sahagun

Please share a memory of Antonio to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Antonio Sahagún Linares was born on August 1, 1936 in Jamay, a small town in the state of Jalisco in Mexico to his father Felipe Sahagún Godinez and mother Maximina Linares. He fell in love with and married Elena Sahagún Murillo. They settled down in Mexicali and raised a beautiful family of 12 children. Antonio built their home with his own hands using raw brick, mud, and wood. He dedicated his life to working for and caring for his family. He worked as a brickmaker and worked in the fields of agriculture. He worked earnestly day after day to provide for his beautiful family. Antonio and his family eventually immigrated to Glenns Ferry, Idaho in the United States to provide a bigger home and more importantly - opportunities for their children. He continued to work in the agricultural fields of a potato company. After he retired, Antonio and his wife moved to Twin Falls, ID to be able to spend the rest of his life closer to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Antonio spent most of his life responsibly working for his family. He loved to spend his time gardening and finding areas to improve in his home. He also loved collecting fitted baseball caps and handheld flashlights. His favorite meal in Twin Falls was going to the New China Buffet and eating lots of shrimp. He shared so much love and laughter in all the family get-togethers. He would always share his stories and make lots of jokes, always wanting to make everyone smile. He was a man of loyalty and kindness. He spent his final moments with his children and grandchildren. He passed away in peace with those who he cherished and treasured. We are left with heavy hearts, but his memory is invincible and forever. He will live on within each and everyone of us who he positively impacted. And in his memory, we will live on for him and spread the humor, wisdom, kindness, and love that he gave us to others.
