I met the senior Dr. Scholes only once, at a Rotary lunch I was kindly invited to, but he was kind and vibrant and all of the positive attributes described in his obituary. Fortunately, it was clear he knew well his family cared as much as is so evident they do. It was my good fortune to have gotten to meet him at all.
