My heart aches for Michelle's family. I met Michelle at O'Leary Junior High many years ago. I had returned to TF after a couple years away but enough to make changes from when I was a TF grade school student. Her laughter and smile made me want to be her friend from the "git go." She invited me to her birthday party, which as a transfer student, made me feel so much at home again. I believe I attended other birthday parties after that. I definitely recall seeing Brenda and Michelle hanging out having good times in the halls at TFHS. We laughed about a lot of stuff. Later, I recall seeing Michelle telling me about her children and how proud she was--all with that amazing smile and spirit. How she loved her children! And how so many of us loved her too!

Q: What 3 words best describe Michelle and why?
A: When I think of Michelle, I think passionate, caffeine and no filter. Passionate about advocating for the underdog, her patients and the joy in life. Caffeine, coffee in each hand while carrying on tasks. How did she not spill, I don't know! Her personality was so full of life. As for no filter, she would tell you what was exactly on her mind. This was done by full body expression. One thing you knew is how sincere she could be, even if the truth was not what you wanted to hear. She was full of passion, hopes and dreams. I am privileged to have known her as a professional, colleague and friend. Fly high beautiful lady!

I was so sad to hear of Michelle's passing. Michelle was one of my favorite former students. She was also president of the business club that I was an advisor for her. She did an excellent job in that position. Michelle had also attended the same church where I attended while she was growing up. I knew her mom and dad, Michelle and brother, Michael. She was much too young to pass and I am so sad for her daughters & other family members. May she be remembered as the light she was for others. Carol Bearup, Reired business teacher from TFHS.
