Now I know where Mrs. Ridgway got that great baking knowledge from, her father. I will never forget one day I spent over at John's house. We were school budds and I spent the night over at Ridgway's house. Mrs. Ridgway cooked up a huge supper and to top it off she brought out this king size apple pie she had just taken out of the oven. It was one of those pies with the top crust that had strips of dough criscrossed over the top. First time I ever saw one like that. Had ice cream to go with it. What a cook and what a great mom she was. Thinking of you John. Craig Riddle
