Obituary of Ralph Samuel Garrison

Please share a memory of Ralph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ralph Samuel Garrison (Fuzz) passed away Wed. December 21st with his family by his bedside. He fought a courageous battle with a very rare blood disease called Amyloidosis. Ralph was born Aug 14, 1942 in Twin Falls, though he always liked to tell people that he was born on the front porch of the green house the day the circus came to town. He grew up on a farm in the Salmon Tract area where he attended the Shamrock School through 5th grade then attended the Twin Falls schools, graduating with the class of 1960. Ralph married Ruth Sturgeon 1964 - 1974 & together they had 4 wonderful children. In 1986 Ralph married the love of his life, Terri Konicek-Robison, becoming a stepdad to Terri's boys. All the kids were so lucky to have such a fine dad. He taught them many things throughout his life. He was an awesome mechanic, starting as a teenager and working for many years at the Lynwood Chevron. Customers loved his experience, expertise & wisdom; he had a great reputation that followed him throughout his career, even throughout retirement. Ralph was one of the greatest hunters a person could ever hope to have the privilege of knowing, & he spent many wonderful hours with his good friends Tom Smith, Ray Clark & Uncle Gene Anthis on the banks of the river, hunting & camping. He also was so lucky to still have several of his childhood pals, lifelong friends and hunting buddies: Ron Dean, Roger Michener, Bert Dobbs, Larry Utley, Bob Dee, Tom Schiermeier, Tom's son's Chad & Ryan(Buck) and Jeff Woodman all of whom spent many hunting seasons on the mountain with "Fuzz". Terri even had her chance also, her very first hunt was with Ralph and they spent many hours in the South Hills camping, scouting & hanging out with good friends & family. He also loved collecting artifacts and rare stones, which led him into becoming a fine silversmith & has made a lot of beautiful jewelry from his favorites. His kids & grandkids got to go on several outings with him & Terri. Ralph was a kind & gentle man of little words, but his family & friends loved his quiet & honest ways. He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Garrison, his mother Della Garrison, his sister Helen Kelleher & by his best friend Charlie. He is survived by Terri, his wife of 25 wonderful years. Sisters Lula(Vern) Huft of Kelso WA and Marie(Walter) Lagoda of Twin Falls, brother Jerry Garrison of Twin Falls. His children Kim (John) Stachowicz of Twin Falls, Wes (Tracey Hoffman) Garrison of Boise, Christy (Jeff) Woodman of Twin Falls, Mary Garrison of Corvallis OR, Russ (Traci) Robison, Dustin (Lara) Robison both of Billings, MT. 10 grandkids Amber, Justin, Sage, Schyler, Tylor, Holly, Tommy, Sarah Sue, Aleksia & Jake. And 2 great grandkids Alex & Blake. The family would like to thank the Hospice Visions of Twin Falls for their loving care of our Ralph.
