Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dave Campagna “Campo”, 78 of Twin Falls, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 9, 2011. He was born Aug. 19, 1933, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Dominic and Lucille Campagna. Dave was in the U.S. Coast Guard and specialized in radio operations. Dave is best known for his work as pitchman for Latham Motors and his lines “Pick up the Phone”—“Give us a Call” and “We’ll See You Heeeeere.” He was passionate about his work and loved making the commercials…he made those same commercials for several dealerships and made a big enough stir to be invited to appear on the David Letterman show in the 80’s. Dave was a sincere, loving and kind man. He loved to golf, to cruise, his family, his precious cats, who were most definitely considered family---and his friends. He was also very involved in Special Olympics and played baseball in his younger years. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Lucille Campagna; and his brother, Jerry Eubank. He is survived by his daughters, Claudette Madlem of Half Moon Bay, Calif., and Danielle Heinerman-Campagna of Temecula, Calif.; his grandchildren, Ashley, Skylar, Jessie Jr., Max and Christian; and his ex-wife and best friend, Heidi Smothers of Ahwahnee, Calif. Dave had many close friends in Twin Falls, including Marjorie and Heidi Deters and Julie and Waylon Klundt, as well as the Latham Motors family. He will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in the Community Room at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E. in Twin Falls. Please come and share your memories of Dave.
