Kathryn “Kathy” Jean Fitzgerald, 68 of Buhl passed away Monday August 1, 2011 at her home of pancreatic cancer. Kathy was born May 14, 1943 in Rochester, New York to George and Annabelle Berry. She graduated from Greece Olympic High School in 1958. Kathy worked for the Greece Central School District retiring from their in 1986. She served as the church secretary at the Port Orange, Fl Nazarene Church. Kathy took piano lessons as a small child and began playing piano for church services when she was 16. She was a gifted piano player who played by ear. She directed numerous Church Cantata’s and loved to scrapbook. She worked briefly for Black Rock clothier in Buhl. Kathy’s greatest blessings were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Buhl church of the Nazarene. She said “The greatest thing that ever happened in her life was when she asked the Lord to forgive her of her sins and take over her life.” Kathy is survived by her son Todd (Bridgitta) Hamilton, daughter Sherri Laubert; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sisters Shirley Knapp, Florence (Ormand) Gilbert Smith, Arline (Larry) Gerdes and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Buhl Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will take place at West End Cemetery in Buhl prior to the service. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 5th at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls. Family and friends may share their memories of Kathy at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com
