Obituary of Betty June Greenup

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
God has a new angel. Betty June Greenup was an angel on earth and now she is in heaven. She was born February 5, 1929 and passed away peacefully with her children and family by her side on May 5, 2014 at the age of 85. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had nine children. She taught her children to appreciate the little things in life and she spent a lot of time with them. They learned a great deal from her by example of how to handle things and how to treat others. When they were little, her home was where the neighborhood children hung out. She spent time playing with her children. Holidays were a special time for her. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren would come to her house. She loved being around her family. She met the love of her life, Clyde “Bud” on a ferry and the rest is history. They were married for over 45 years. She loved to travel, play bingo, read and being around others. The Oregon coast and the lighthouses were her favorite places to be. If you mentioned traveling, she was ready to go. She didn’t care where as long as she got to go. If you needed help, she was there. She enjoyed helping others. She bowled for many years until she had a car accident. She was a member of the Moose Lodge for over 40 years. She was a senior regent and she earned her cap and gown. She also held every office that was available. She worked at Ropers, Tempo and Only one Dollar Store. She was preceded in death by her Mother Verle Bruhn and her husband Clyde. She is survived by her nine children June Erstad, Ole (Marie) Greenup, Roger (Sharon) Greenup, Susan (Lee) Bliven, Dean (Ella) Greenup, Carol Benson, Cheryl (Dennis) Wiese, Sherry Greenup, Debbie (Brent) Bergen; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She had numerous friends and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial to the Moose Lodge for Moosehart or Moose Haven. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 10, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E, Twin Falls. Please help us celebrate her life. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
