Dec 05, 2010, Lawrence Leroy Mahler passed away surrounded by loved ones. Known to family and friends as Larry, he was born Nov 01, 1924, in Richmond, CA, to George and Mary Nee Mahler. His childhood was spent in California. In the late 1940s, Larry moved to the Magic Valley, to work in the vending machine business. It was the early 1950’s when Larry met his future wife, Betty Jane Bradshaw. Larry and Betty were married in Twin Falls on May 28, 1952. Together, they owned and operated Western Music Co., from 1968 to present. During the early years of the company they shared ownership with Betty’s sister and her husband, Eleanor and Lowell Hewlett. God blessed Larry and Betty over the years with 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary, his sister Irene and his wife Betty of 35 years. He is survived by children Vicki Kiesig of Kimberly; Kevin (Julie) Mahler of Twin Falls; Kent (Lori) Mahler or Twin Falls; Kyleen (Alex) Claunts of Coeur d Alene, Idaho; Grandchildren Jeremy Kiesig of Kimberly; Nathan Kiesig of Las Vegas, Nevada; Stephanie (Curtis) Hardy of Kuna; Tiffany (Chris) Cornelison of Twin Falls; Chris Maher of Twin Falls; Amy (Josh) Young of Nampa; Megan (Jesse) Hughes of Twin Falls; Kelsey Mahler of Twin Falls; Lacey (Jesse) Glover of Post Falls, Idaho; KC (Chelsie) Claunts of Coeur d Alene, Idaho; Great Grandchildren Alexis Kiesig; Keagan and Peyton Hughes; Cassie and Eddie Cornelison; and Jacob Glover .
Larry was a hard working father, a loving grandfather and a patient great-grandfather. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers please send donations to MSTI in care of Rosenau Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday Dec 09, 2010, at 1:00pm at Rosenau Funeral Home located at 2826 Addison Ave East, Twin Falls, Idaho with a viewing on Wednesday, Dec 8, 2010 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
