Cora Agnes Jepson Capps, 101 of Twin Falls passed away on Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Heritage Assisted Living. She was born in Hettinger, North Dakota on January 16, 1913 to Charles A. Jepson and Cora Adena Nelson Jepson. The family moved to Erwin South Dakota when she was six months old and lived there until 1929 when they moved to Pierre South Dakota. Cora graduated from Pierre High School in 1930. 1930 was the year of the depression so Cora didn’t get to go to college. She worked several places in Pierre including Morton’s Bakery where she met Elton Capps who was one of the bakers. In 1936 Elton had a chance to go to Jerome, Idaho to work at a bakery. Cora moved to Jerome the following spring and was married to Elton on April 24, 1937. To this union came two children Nancy B. Capps and Thomas M. Capps. They moved to Burley in 1941 and ran the home bakery there but moved back to Jerome in 1942 where she lived until moving into Heritage Assisted Living in Twin Falls. Cora is a member of the Jerome United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Royal Neighbors and a past member of the Magic Valley Ceramic club. She loved to do ceramics and helped Irene run a ceramic shop for several years. She was a homemaker and care giver having taken care of several neighbors and family members. She loved to cook and was the family Lefse Maker. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents; one daughter Nancy Bragg; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one sister Verla Stroud; one son Tom (Sue) Capps six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday April 26, 2014 at 10:00 am with funeral services starting at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E Twin Falls. Interment will take place at the Jerome Cemetery on Saturday April 26, 2014. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
