William Jasper Dean Jr., 90 of Filer passed away on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 24, 1924 in Rockmart, Georgia to William and Leola (Broadwell) Dean. William joined the US Marine Corps in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart and a WWII Veteran. In 1947 he joined the US Army and served on active duty until 1968 when he retired. William married Donna Rae on December 18, 1960 and they were married for 40 years. They moved to Twin Falls in 1968 and later moved to Filer in 1976. William worked for Allied Moving & Storage from 1968 until 2005 when he retired. William enjoyed being with his family, fishing, camping and watching his sports. William is survived by one sister Nell Garten; four children Jeanette Achenbach (Gary)of Filer, ID, Bill (Colleen) Dean of Sparks, NV, Donald (Linda) Dean of Filer, ID and Cheri Crummett of Twin Falls , ID. William is also survived by 18 grandchildren David, Kenneth, Lisa, Andie, Hollie, Heidi, Brandon, Robert, Amber, Michael, Billy, Nicholas, Sean, Gray, Kendell, Barren, Ashley and Patrick; and by 21 great grandchildren Zack, Chase, Skylar, Makyla, Jena, Jerran, Xavier, Dakota, Kaleb, Ronnie, Teresa, Starr, Sabrina, Christofer, Alicia, Selena, Junior, Nichole, Kendell Jr., Braxton and Natalie. William is preceded in death by his wife Donna Rae Dean, mother Leola Dean, father William Jasper Dean Sr., Sisters Gladys and Irma, brothers James Dean and Ghelma Dean, two step sons Robert Wilkerson and Fred Wilkerson and granddaughter Shawna. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday November 3, 2014 at 1pm with funeral service to follow at 2pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls, ID 83301. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park following the funeral services on Monday November 3, 2014. A gathering for family and friends will follow the committal service at the Rosenau Funeral Home Community Room. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
