Obituary of Frances Hernandez

Frances Hernandez passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Nov. 7th, 2014. Fran was born on February 5, 1937. She was one of nine children born to Jose Gonzales and Duby Velasquez Gonzales of Gooding, ID. She married Floyd Hernandez (deceased) of Twin Falls, ID. in 1954. They had two daughters. Floyd was in the USMC and they were stationed in Kaneohe, HI., Millington, TN., and at El Toro Marine Corps. base in Orange County, CA. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, and also by her sisters Toni Pierce and Sr. Barbara Gonzales. Fran resided in Twin Falls, ID. She was a part of St. Edwards parish were she was the secretary there for a number of years. Fran was well known for her fabulous talent of guitar playing and singing and for her amazing cooking skills. All of 4’ 8”, she had a huge personality and she was known and loved by many for her shining smile. A devote Catholic, she was a constant prayer warrior for her family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters Barbara (Ken) Danson and Alicia Van Camp, her grandchildren, Christina Millard, Sarah (Skylar) Stark, David Danson, Amanda (Juan) Torres, and Joseph Van Camp, and by her two great grandsons, Paydon and Traeger Stark. She is survived also by her sisters Josie Roberts, Stella Murray, Georgia Wright, Rita Boger, and her brothers Joe Gonzales and Lou Gonzales. A Rosary will be said for her on Friday November 14, 2014 at 6:30 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home and a mass on Saturday November 15, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Edwards Catholic Church followed by lunch at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. There will be a private graveside interment service for family at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Jubilee House of Twin Falls, 315 Grandview Dr. Twin Falls, ID 83301, in her name. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
