Philip Michael Steward, 63 of Eden passed away on March 30, 2015 at his home. He was born on May 25, 1951 in Nampa, Idaho the 3rd of 4 children, with older twin sisters Judy and Jan, and younger brother David. The family move frequently throughout southern Idaho until finally settling in the Hazelton area, where he was enrolled in the 2nd grade. Phil excelled in Vo-Ag and sports during school. He enjoyed working driving a school bus route while still in High School. He graduated from Valley High School in 1970. Phil had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He loved working on engines, going to car shows and proudly showing off a pickup he had restored. Phil was also a gun enthusiast. Farming gave him pleasure and fulfillment, especially working for “the boss” Art Henry in Eden for the last 20 years. Phil came to know his God Jehovah in mid-life. He was a big guy with a sweet soul. Phil is survived by his sisters Judy Steward and Jan (Warren) Gossett both of Twin Falls; brother David and niece Lindsey both of Portland, Oregon. Phil is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside inurnment will be held on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hazelton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
