Obituary of George LaRae Stringer

George LaRae Stringer, 81 of Twin Falls passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 surrounded by family. Born July 14, 1934 in Twin Falls, Idaho to George and Odetta Stringer. He married the love of his life, Joyce Claiborne on November 10, 1954 in the Idaho Falls Temple and to that eternal union was born 5 children. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in many callings. His greatest calling was that of Husband, Dad, Grandpa. Preceded in death by his parents, his 2 sisters, Carma and Loa, his oldest son, Steven, and a great grandson Daniel. Survived by his wife Joyce, 4 children, Lynette Penman (Terry) of Park City, UT, Craig Stringer (Susan) of Twin Falls, ID, Gary Stringer of Scottsdale, AZ, Stephanie Dickey (Kevin) of Happy Valley, OR along with 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Friends and family may gather to celebrate his life Friday, August 14th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 15th 11:00 AM at the LDS church located at 3155 Elizabeth Blvd both in Twin Falls. Viewing prior to service from 10:00-11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LDSPhilanthropies.org. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories at www.rosenaufuneralhome.com
