Eunice Hope DeMoss, age 88, died October 13, 2015 at Grace Assisted Living, Twin Falls, ID. She was born February 15, 1927 in Jerome, ID, the daughter of Edwin D. and Helen G. Brooks and was 1 of 10 children. She loved riding horses and worked on the Brooks farm until she married Wilbur E. DeMoss, July 18, 1943 at Judge Comstock’s home in Jerome, ID. Eunice and Wilbur farmed in Kimberly, ID after World War II for 15 years. As a young mother, Eunice was baptized with her daughters at the Kimberly Methodist Church. She loved her home and garden, and enjoyed canning fresh food every season. Eunice was a member of the Excelsior Club and an active Blue Bird leader. When the family moved to the Coiner and Son’s Ranch in Hansen, ID, Eunice began working for Idaho Frozen foods (now Lamb Weston, Inc. In 1988 she was presented the “Universal Food Diamond circle Award” in recognition of 30 years’ service. Upon retirement, Eunice and Wilbur settled in their new residence at the Lazy J Ranch in Twin Falls. They traveled to Alaska, New York, Washington D.C., Boston (through the New England states) Puerto Rico and through the Panama Canal. They enjoyed family gatherings together and especially time with their daughters. Eunice loved flower arranging and making crafts as gifts. She lived her entire life being gentle, kind, honest, and most importantly, a loving wife and mother. Preceding her in death: her husband of 63 years, Wilbur E. DeMoss; her parents; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Linda K. (Michael E.) Bell, Clarkston, WA and Diane (William K.) Moore Twin Falls, ID; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren all living parts in of Idaho and Washington and 2 sisters, Vivian Darling of Boise, ID and Patty (Troy) Mitchell of Filer,ID. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 1:00p.m., at Rosenau Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. The family suggests that donations be made to the National Neuropathy Assoc., or National Alzheimer’s Assoc., C/O Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. Twin Falls, ID 83301.
