Obituary of Norma Alice Earl

Twin Falls – Norma Alice Earl was born December 5, 1921 to Ora & Clara Ahnert Jones in Challis, Idaho. The family later settled in Hollister, Idaho where she grew up. She passed away March 21, 2016 at her daughter’s home surrounded by family. She attended school in Hollister, where she participated in basketball and track, she graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1940. She married Dean Earl June 13, 1942. They had 4 children, Dean (Marie) Earl, Ted (Vesta) Earl, Gary (Penny) Earl and Vicky (Mark) Hasselbring. She was known for her hard work ethic and willingness to do whatever she could for her family. Always asking to help right up to the end. She took great pride in farming, but most of all she enjoyed her horses. She is survived by her two sons, Gary and Dean, Daughter, Vicky, 11 loving grandchildren, many great –grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her spouse Dean Earl, one son, Ted Earl; two brothers, Oran (Frances) Jones, Ora (Mildred) Jones, two sisters; Doris (Gene) Ruggs, Mary (Marion) Pendergraft. The family would like to give a special thank you to Josephine and Tiffany for their loving care and support. A private celebration of life will be held for the family at Rosenau Funeral Home on Friday, March 25th at 10:00 AM. Memorial donations made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in lieu of flowers.
