Imogene Alldritt, 81, of Kimberly, Idaho, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Imogene was born June 21, 1932, in Mountainair, New Mexico, to Grady and Bertha (Williams) Lassiter. She attended school in Mountainair and at the age of 16, her family moved to Filer, Idaho, where she graduated in 1949. Imogene worked at the Fidelity National Bank and P.I.E. Trucking Company for several years. At the age of 18 with the passing of her mother, Imogene and her grandmother provided a home for her two youngest siblings On November 5, 1955, Imogene married Jonathan K. Alldritt in Twin Falls, Idaho. They farmed southeast of Kimberly where they raised their family. Imogene loved to shop and travel. She enjoyed watching football and being a restaurant connoisseur. Her faith and family were a priority for her. She was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren- travelling many miles to watch them participate in their special events. Her favorite time of year was when “all the family” came home for Christmas. In 1950, she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and her Christian faith was a fundamental part of her life. She taught Sunday school, worked with youth and was a great encourager to many. For 20 years, Imogene volunteered as a “Pink Lady” with Magic Valley Memorial Hospital until the decline of her health in 2011. She is survived by her husband of 58 years; three children, Janaye (Don) Maier, Janell (Les) Abston, and Dana (Jim) Boyles; six grandchildren, Misty (Byron) Britain, Karissa (Daniel) Miller, Chase (Shelly) Abston, Chelsey (Daniel) Vouman, Whitney (Ryan) Phipps, and Destinee (Ben) Blamires; and seven great-grandchildren, Macey & Brady Britain, Jaxon and Brock Miller, Michayla, Gabe and Caitlynn Abston; two brothers, Bob (Helen) Lassiter and Jerry (Diona) Lassiter; and one sister, Marlene (Bud) Yardley; one aunt, Emma Lou (Gordon) McMath, as well as many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. The family wishes to express appreciation to Ramey, Brandi, Lorrie, and Anna of Idaho Home Health & Hospice, Lora and Beverly of Caring Hands, and Dr. David Spritzer. A celebration of Imogene’s life will be held at 11am Saturday, Jan. 25, at Full Life Family Church, 143 Locust Street N. in Twin Falls, with Rev. Jeremy Vines and Rev. Vernon Bishop officiating. Burial services will follow at Twin Falls Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will take place Friday , Jan 24 from 6-8pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E., Twin Falls.
