Obituary of Mary Carolyn Holmes

Mary Carolyn Holmes 67, of Twin Falls passed away on Sunday March 19, 2017 at the Twin Falls Care Center. Mary was born on November 11, 1949 in Princeton, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Palmer and Florence Hanson. She graduated from Hardin High School in Montana and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in elementary education at the University of Montana and her masters from Boise State University. She married Loren Holmes on June 18, 1977 in Idaho Falls. She taught special education, fourth grade and English as a second language in Montana and Idaho for 34 years. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Filer and a current member of Hope Lutheran in Jackpot, Nevada. She was also an avid quilter with a generous heart. She love learning about and meeting people from other cultures. She was always ready for an adventure and she loved to laugh. She is survived by a daughter Autumn Barnes; a son Rainey Holmes and a brother Richard Larson. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Loren Holmes. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday March 24, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 10 am at the Filer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.»(Do not delete this line. It does not print.
