Obituary of Hollis E. Walker

Hollis E. "Holly" Walker, born July 4, 1922 passed on to his new life on July 19, 2017. Son of Edward F. and Fanny L. Mathews Walker he attended school in Murtaugh and Twin Falls. He married Dorthea Hogue on July 4, 1941 in Elko, Nevada. He served with the 5th Army 473rd infantry Regiment in Africa and Italy in World War II, receiving the combat infantry badge and three battle stars. He and his wife operated service stations for Kendrick oil Co. and Phillip's "66" for 35 years before retiring in 1978. Surviving are his wife of Twin Falls, daughters Judy (Jack) Seagraves of Hailey, Idaho and Darla Walker of Canby, Oregon. His sister, Pauline Bird Dockstader of Twin Falls and brother Edwin Walker of Orange, California. Grandchildren Sheli Blandin of Boise, Idaho and Justin Seagraves of Dalla, Texas. Great grandsons Kristopher Blandin member of the U.S. Navy and Joanna Blandin of Boise, Idaho. Great granddaughters Hayden Seagraves of Hailey, Idaho and Madison Seagraves of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by one great-great grandson Alex Blandin of Virginia Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Cecil and granddaughter Jacqueline Seagraves. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls, with a luncheon to follow. Interment to follow at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
