Obituary of Ruth V Cole

Twin Falls-Ruth Cole, 89 years of age passed away on August 8, 2017 of natural causes at Bridgeview Estates. Born October 19, 1927 in Wellsburg, W. VA., the daughter of the late George & Nellie McGowan. Four brothers, Kenneth (Faye) McGowan, both deceased, George McGowan, Wayne-deceased (Jean) McGowan, Charles (Madge) McGowan, one sister, Patricia (Ray-deceased) Moore, all from West Virginia. Ruth grew up and attended schools in Wellsburg, W. VA., where she met and married John F. Kemp. Together they had five children, John (Paula) Kemp of Jerome, Diane (Karen) Nelson both deceased, Cecilia (Jim) Riddle of Filer, Pamela (Gail) Hoskovec of Caldwell, Robert Allen Kemp, infant deceased. Ruth & John raised their children in Wellsburg. She worked at an Italian restaurant and John was in the Navy during WWII. They moved to California in 1956. They later divorced. Ruth married Burl Cole and with their children they moved to Gooding where they had their daughter Ruth Ann McDaniel-deceased. They then moved to Bliss, where they ranched and did custom hay hauling. Ruth loved her family dinners and going shopping with her girls. She worked part-time at the Bliss Country Store where she enjoyed talking to all the customers. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grand children and two great-great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, two husbands, one daughter, three brothers, and one grandson. The family would like to thank the staff at Bridgview Estates for their love and care of Ruth while she lived there. The service will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave. E., Twin Falls, Idaho, on Sunday August 13, 2017 at 3pm. Officiating: Pastor Dan Gunn
