Obituary of Roy E. Sexton

Roy Elbert Sexton, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 5th, 2014. Roy was born near Meeker, Oklahoma on December 29th, 1917, the son of John and Bell Sexton. Roy moved to Idaho in 1936 and married his wife Edwardine in Twin Falls on May 23rd, 1938. The couple farmed for forty years in the Magic Valley area, near Eden, Twin Falls, Jerome, Murtaugh, and Hazelton, Idaho; and they retired and moved into Twin Falls in 1982. Roy is survived by his wife and three children: Sandra McBride, Richard Sexton, and Linda (Eddie) Green; one grandchild, Angel; two great-grandchildren, Mari (Sam) and JR; and five step-grandchildren from the Green family, Monica, Travis, Mela, Melissa, and Tim, along with twelve step great-grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and four brothers. Services for Roy Sexton will be held at the Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Avenue East, in Twin Falls, with a viewing and visitation on Thursday, January 9th, from 6 to 8 p.m., and a funeral service on Friday, January 10th, at 1 p.m. A graveside service and internment will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
