Please share a memory of Doris to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
“Together Again” Doris Lee Peterson passed away January 5, 2014 .She was born January 10, 1930 in Jerome, Idaho to Sherman Newlon Weeks and Ima Lee Hack Weeks. Our mom grew up on a farm near Jerome, Idaho where she made great life-long friends. She also attended schools in Jerome, Idaho. Sometime during her sophomore year at Jerome High School she met a handsome senior, Robert Carl Peterson. They married January 1, 1949 in Jerome, Idaho, later solemnized in the Logan, Utah Temple, and the rest is history. Mother was devoted to her husband, children and parents who she helped care for in their later years. Most of the family's time together was spent in Murtaugh, Idaho. When we think of heaven, we think of our farm against the South Hills near Murtaugh. Mother was active in the LDS church and served in it faithfully her whole life. She is preceded in death by both parents, husband Robert Peterson, son Bobby Lee Peterson, daughter, Brenda Peterson Dyson, sister Louise Weeks, sister Dorothy Gregory (John) and granddaughter Elizabeth Ann Dyson, and many wonderful grandparents and ancestors who are joyfully welcoming her into their arms. She is survived by her brother, Don Weeks (Idell) and children Jeff Peterson, Marcia Norris (Marvin), Jana Pawlowski (Randy) and Doug Peterson (Lisa). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. We couldn’t love you more, mom, for we learned how to love from you. The family wishes to thank St. Luke’s Hospice for their care and attention to mom these past two months and especially our brother, Jeff Peterson, who has helped care for in her home these last years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11th at 1:00 PM at the 19th Ward Chapel, 723 Hankins Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. Viewing will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Avenue in Twin Falls on Friday, January 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and at the church one hour before the funeral services on Saturday.
