Obituary of Terry Lynn Cook

On Sunday, October 15, 2017, Terry went to sleep and woke up in the beauty of heaven after a short battle with liver failure. On November 2, Terry would have been 63 years old and has lived and worked in the Buhl area all of his life. As many know and have experienced Terry's life work was a brick mason who many considered one of the best in the business. He started this work at the age of 14, carrying "hod" for Bill Miller on weekends and summer vacations during his school years. After a short time Bill taught him the craft and eventually turned the business over to him. Terry often said he wished he had a nickel for every brick Bill made him remove and redo, so it would be perfect. Countless people still today (his sister being one of them) are enjoying items of his talent in and outside of their homes and businesses. Terry also spent a great deal of his spare time in the outdoors hunting and fishing all over the country. In fact, I don't think there was a goose, elk or deer that he met that he didn't like. He loved to share this passion with all his friends and family often making the trips a "family affair". Terry loved sharing whatever it was his talents as a brick mason, his time, the food he enjoyed cooking or whatever he thought might make your day a little better. Terry is survived by his sister Kathy Ewing and her husband Steve of Buhl, his daughters Tera Cook of Jerome, Shelbie Conner of Buhl; grandchildren Evan Zamora, Blaze and Saige Conner. Also surviving Terry is his good friend Louis Zamora who was such a blessing during Terry's last days, and many cousins in Idaho and Missouri. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Bette and father Melvin Cook. Services are scheduled for Friday October 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1231 Washington St. N, Twin Falls. Since Terry so enjoyed being involved in the Buhl Moose the last several years, the family suggests any contributions be made to them in Terry's name at Buhl Order of the Moose, PO Box 305, Buhl, ID 83316. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
